Start of works on installation of additional check-in counters and extension of baggage conveyor system

As already announced regarding measures on enlargement of capacities and upgrade of services of Sarajevo International Airport, works on extension and updating of baggage conveyor system and installation of additional passenger check-in counters have started.
Number of check-in counters is going to be increased from the existing 12 to 15, including another X-Ray machine for security check of baggage. Further, a new setup of the baggage system with two conveyor belts will significantly upgrade a reliability of the system regarding transport, sorting and loading of baggage.
In order to keep rendering top level services to its passengers, Sarajevo International Airport established necessary procedures and provided trained staff so to enable smooth transfer of baggage even during execution of the works and testing of the system.  
Given the exceptional and constant growth of a number of handled passengers, air traffic operations and cargo volume being realized so far, as well as the fact that Sarajevo International Airport is expected to reach a figure of one million passengers a year, this project is a preparatory activity within realization of the strategy called „Upgrading and extension of Terminal B“.
Due to efforts of all its employees Sarajevo International Airport has always managed to handle all the challenges and tasks related to such a significant and quickened increase of passengers and flights figures, and will keep providing top level services to our passengers and business partners.
